ALL ABOUT GRAPHICS
LOWER THIRDS (TITLES)In Broadcast Journalism, Mr. West explains how graphics can add to a story. Students learn to use graphics to tell the story, rather than take away.
|
GRAPHICSIn Broadcast Journalism, students learn how extra graphics can help send a message, get out extra information, or be used as a resource for advertising. ENN's Bottom Line, pictured above, is a graphic used at times on Sunrise for alerts, schedule updates, or broadcast promotions (as seen above promoting ENN's broadcast of the 2019 Battle of the Classes).

PRODUCING A SHOW
Students in Broadcast Journalism produce a show at the end of the year, compiling all the news packages, segments, and other productions created by the class into one production. This show highlights the work and progress students made in the semester. Multiple students, following the conclusion of the class, join sunrise to continue in the broadcast journalism program at BHS.
Learn to produce live events, commentate, and work cameras during live productions!
In Event Broadcasting, students use their knowledge of cameras and production to produce live events using equipment from Livestream - a live-streaming service purchased by the Barrington School Department. Students produce high quality, and high viewership events such as Graduation and Battle of the Classes. Watch those broadcasts below.
